Some BCCSWF Club Members at SCCA Sebring Event - by Bryan Wilder

The week-end of October 20-21, 2007 was full of cars and friends as some of our BCCSWF members were at two different events at the Sebring track with other members (Jerry & Marji Wilcox, Cecil Carter & Isabel Munoz, and Stacy & I with our 5 year old son, Mason) driving up to watch and support them. An autocross course was set up behind the pits. Three members, Bill Tripp, Malcolm & Judith Lawson, participated in this event. There were several other fellow autocrossers from our local track there as well.

On the other part of the grounds, SCCA Club racers were running the long course, utilizing the Green Park area with trees and grass for their pit area. Some Saturday rain was followed by a beautiful Sunday. Bill Newman's Spitfire and Craig Disney's Triumph GT6 competed and completed the Vintage races. Ken Taylor's TR 7 (E Prod) finished 4th and 1st in the Sunday races with an engine that keep it's cool! Fast Phil Babcock ran his blue Spec Miata without issue. The sky's stayed nice up till the last few laps of the last race of the day. They had to call the racers in when the lightening got so close that the ground was shaking. But, all in all a great time was had by all - the racers and fans.
